I used to think it was the goals we achieved in life that made us who are. When really I've learned that it's the ambition to achieve that goal that truly defines one's character.

I may not be as successful as those I admire, but I can promise that I will work just as hard-if not harder-to get the things I want out of life.

And all I can justly hope for is that, win or lose, I am satisfied with my own efforts in the end.

As of 5:25AM I have a new nephew.

As of 5:27AM I have ANOTHER new nephew.

Twin boys born to two people who would make better parents than the majority of the world. Very, very close friends of mine. (Two of my best you could say.) They've been trying to start a family for years and had some difficulties. But this morning welcomed two new miracles into this large, crazy family/circle of friends. And I couldn't be happier.

Mom and babies are well. 5lbs 6ozs and 5lbs 9ozs (big for being so early). Health is good for everyone. Just waiting on names now!!
